Picking flooring for your home.
I spent the most time selecting my flooring as I did not want to make the mistake of picking a floor quickly and then having regrets.
With my home Reno I had the hardest time with the flooring as I was on a tight budget and could not make up my mind if I wanted a dark brown flooring or a black flooring.
Finally I have made a decision and I picked the darkest floor from @australianselecttimbers .

My favourite books have always been displayed around the house. I would use them on a coffee table, cabinet, console and shelf. Today I decided to display them all in one place. In our house we have a room we call our games room. This room is where we sit to play, chess, cards and play the piano. I thought this room would be perfect to create a display table for my favourite books. A place where you can spend some time looking through books to inspire you.
This is currently my display and I am planning to add a few more along the way. Only my special books make the cut for this display table. 😁

My little 8 year old is currently so obsessed with sausage dogs. He had made a request for his bedroom to be sausage dog themed.
I just bought him the Dash Flannelette Sheet Set and he is so happy. Loves going to bed , he even started going to bed earlier than his bed time 😴.

I wanted to share today a moodboard I did for a client a few months ago. This moodboard exactly expresses how we are all working these days. Some of us have created home offices to accommodate the work from home lifestyle, and some of us are making do with what is available around the house. One thing I always tend to remind myself as an Interior Designer is that everyone feels and likes different things. So what is most important at the end of the day, is regardless of what room or house you are designing, to always make sure that you are fulfilling your lifestyle choices. Some people like home office spaces , some people prefer to work on a dining table. As long as you are happy 😊, is what matters the most.

DIY weekend.
I love doing DIY projects with my family. These side tables were in my son’s bedroom and needed a refresh. They were white , scratched and needed a serious update. I let my son Oli select the colour of the side tables. He said as he is turning 13 he would like to have a dark colour in his bedroom. He selected Casino from @taubmans .
We sanded the side tables as a family, we painted the side tables as a family and the results were amazing. They turned out perfect.

Today was the perfect sunny day in Sydney to get some painting done.
I have had these rustic green urn vases on display in my kitchen for some time now and I have always found that the colour did not quick suit the look of my kitchen. So today I went to Bunnings to buy some spray paint to give my vases a refresh.
I was so nervous at the start, as I do like the vases and did not want to throw them away if they did not look good.
So here they are drying in the sun and I am so happy how they turned out.
